Oakland vs Mt. Shasta Sticker: Picking a California Souvenir

Compare the Oakland and Mt. Shasta vinyl stickers on size, durability, and price to decide which California souvenir fits your laptop, bottle, or gift list.
Quick answer
Choose the Oakland Sticker if you want a larger city-pride decal for a laptop or water bottle; choose the Mt. Shasta Sticker if you want a compact mountain souvenir that fits tight spaces. Both are scratch- and weatherproof vinyl made in the USA, so the real decision comes down to size, motif, and price.
Size and placement decide more than the artwork
The Oakland Sticker measures 3" x 2.30" and is die-cut, giving it a wider footprint that reads clearly on a laptop lid, hard-shell case, or wide water bottle. The Mt. Shasta Sticker is 2 1/2" x 1 1/2", small enough for a phone case, notebook cover, or the narrow band of a tumbler where a larger decal would wrap or crowd.
If you are decorating a single surface with several stickers, the Mt. Shasta size leaves room for companions. If you want one sticker to carry the visual weight of a whole panel, the Oakland die-cut does that better.
Durability is the same; the trade-off is price and motif
Both stickers are described as scratch- and weatherproof vinyl made in the USA, so neither wins on outdoor resilience. That means the city sticker vs mountain sticker question is really about what story you want to tell: Oakland for urban identity, Mt. Shasta for a northern California landscape memory.
At catalog prices, the Oakland Sticker is listed at USD 2.56 and the Mt. Shasta Sticker at USD 2.68, both discounted from a USD 4.00 comparison price. The difference is small, so do not let a few cents override the size and motif that actually fit your plan.
Shipping and bundle math worth knowing before checkout
Paper Parasol Press notes that the first-class shipping option ships without a tracking number to keep sticker shipping costs down. If tracking matters to you, factor that into your shipping choice rather than assuming it is included.
The Oakland Sticker listing also mentions a coupon code, STICKWITHME, for 10% off retail sticker orders of four or more. If you are buying california souvenir stickers for a group, that threshold can make the Oakland sticker the more economical anchor for a bundle.
Trade-offs to weigh before you choose
- Surface size: Measure your intended spot first. The Oakland Sticker needs roughly 3" x 2.30" of flat space; the Mt. Shasta Sticker needs about 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". If the space is tight or curved, the smaller Mt. Shasta is the safer fit. A sticker that does not sit flat will peel sooner, so match size to surface before motif.
- Motif and audience: Pick Oakland for city pride, urban travel memories, or a gift for someone with Oakland ties. Pick Mt. Shasta for northern California landscape memories, hiking trips, or a quieter mountain motif.
- Price and bundle: The Oakland Sticker is listed at USD 2.56 and the Mt. Shasta Sticker at USD 2.68, both from a USD 4.00 comparison price. If you plan to buy four or more stickers, check whether the STICKWITHME code applies to your retail sticker order before checkout. Confirm the discount at checkout rather than assuming it applies to every item in your cart.
- Shipping expectations: First-class shipping ships without a tracking number to keep costs down. If you need tracking for a gift or a larger order, choose a shipping option that includes it.
